Positive Thinking in Islam

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

Positive thinking and optimism are most important as they relate to our prayers, supplications, and acts of worship.

Solar eclipse occurred on the day of Ibrahim's death (the Prophet's son) [Sahih al-Bukhari 6199]
People started associating eclipse with the death of his son. Prophet  (ﷺ) was not concerned about what the people talk, instead he (ﷺ) said, "The sun and the moon do not eclipse because of someone's death or life (i.e. birth), but they are two signs amongst the Signs of Allah. So, if you see them (i.e. eclipse) offer the (eclipse) prayer.

Pre-Islamic Arabs used to take evil omen from safar. So the Prophet (ﷺ) said: There is no safar.

Anas reported that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, "There is no infection and there are no bad omens, although I am pleased by a good omen - a good word." [Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 913]

Prophet Sallahi Alaihiwaslallam and Positivity Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak goodness or remain silent. [Sahih al-Bukhari 6136]

Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “No ‘adwaa [transmission of infectious disease without the permission of Allah], no tiyarah [superstitious belief in bird omens], no haamah [refers to a Jaahili Arab tradition described variously as: a worm that infests the grave of a murder victim until he is avenged; an owl; or the bones of a dead person turned into a bird that could fly], and no Safar [the month of Safar was regarded as unlucky in the Jaahiliyyah]. But flee from the leper as you would flee from a lion.”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (5387) and Muslim (2220).

And if Allah should touch you with adversity, there is no remover of it except Him. And if He touches you with good - then He is over all things competent. [Surah al-An'am 6:17]

And Allah has full power and control over His Affairs, but most of men know not [Surah Yoosuf 12:21]
